
Najla Said: (Performer, Project Associate Producer) currently serves as Nibras' Development Director, and served as Artistic Director from 2005-2006. An actress, writer, and comedienne, Najla grew up in New York City. She is the daughter of the Palestinian-American scholar Edward Sa•d and an equally brilliant Lebanese mother. Most recent acting credits include: Iraq: Speaking of War (The Culture Project), Nine Parts of Desire(Seattle Repertory Theatre), the upcoming Prophecyby Karen Malpede, and the debut of her two plays Palestineand Lebanonas part of the Public Theater's “New Work Now!” Festival. Training: The Shakespeare Lab at the Public Theater/NYSF, The Actors Center Conservatory. Najla is a graduate of Princeton University. |
