Omar Koury (Performer, Project Consultant) co-wrote and performed in the groundbreaking documentary play Sajjil,which went on to receive the "Best Ensemble" award for Nibras at the New York International Fringe Festival in 2002.He has been an integral part of Nibras' growth through his coordination of its reading series. In addition, Omar has been actively involved with the New York Arab American Comedy Festival since its inception in 2003.  At this year's festival, Omar co-wrote and performed in the sketch, A Few Good Arabs, a humorous commentary on politics and war. Omar was also recently featured in the play, Guantanamo: Honor Bound to Defend Freedom, at Washington DC's Studio Theatre. His television sketch comedy work includes appearances on “Late Night with Conan O'Brien” and “The Late Show with David Letterman.” Other television credits include a recurring role “All My Children.” Film credits include: Devil's Advocateand Jesus' Son.
