
Maha Chehlaoui* (Performer, Project Consultant) has worked as an actor and director at the Public Theater, NYTW,Milwaukee Rep, the Pioneer Theater, and Theater for a New City, among others. She was instrumental in creating anddirecting Sajjil. She most recently performed in Othello(Bianca) at the Pioneer Theater in Salt Lake City, and at theEdinburgh Fringe Festival in Girl Blog from Iraq: Baghdad Burning(nom. "Best Ensemble"). Favorite roles include:Maryam Rahnavard in Gardening Leave(dir. Michael Goldfried), Dr. Keira Banks in The God Committee, (dir. KevinMoriarty), Leila Khaled in The Female Terrorist Project, (dir. Lear de Bessonet), The Woman in Woman on a ThresholdBeckoning, (dir. Michael Wilson), and Bianca in The Taming of the Shrew(dir. Andrei Serban).
