Dalia Basiouny (Discussion Moderator) is an Egyptian theatre artist, academic, and translator currently writing her Ph.D. on Arab American Women Doing Political Theatre at The Graduate Center, CUNY.  As a theatre director, she has 13 plays to her credit, and recently she curated the series Playing With The Rules:  Contemporary Arab American Female Writers/Performers. She is the recipient of the Fulbright Arts Grant and the British Council Chevening Scholarship, and her theatre work won awards from the Free Theatre Festival in Cairo and the Amman Theatre Festival in Jordan.
